Allegations and Charges Against Boyce
In 2005, the Virginia Board of Veterinary Medicine assessed a variety of historical allegations against Boyce in determining his fitness to practice. Indeed - his rap sheet was a rather sordid list of alleged repeated offenses against staff, patients and general negligence with animals.
Boyce stood accused of assaulting an employee, sexually harassing several female employees with lewd posters plastered on his walls, professional negligence in the cases of Josie the dog and Snookums the cat at the very least, and, in the opinion of the Bullinses (the former owners of Snookums the cat), attempted bribery.
"... this has been a nightmare", Boyce said, "It's one false charge after another."
Indeed, one might wonder if one false charge had cropped up in a long line of performance above and beyond the call of duty, but it would seem that charges against Boyce have a way of working themselves out of the woodwork in a rather voluminous manner. Given that the vast majority of people don't actually report wrong-doings or slights (who has the time?), to actually still, even through that apathy, see this avalanche of complaints is concerning, to say the least.
