#JusticeForSnookums

Hi!

I am a cat owner (cat lover!) and concerned citizen of Patrick County, Virginia.

I'm also a very proud American, and strong proponent of free speech.

I've created this blog for a couple of simple reasons: to

A) Bring to a community forum the actions of veterinarian Lock Boyce, whose unprofessional behavior was deemed by Virginia to have led to the death of Snookums the cat, and

B) Bring to further light a bevy of allegations made against Mr. Boyce that corroborate a pattern of behavior that some might consider indicative of  a diagnosis of psychopathy

“I love cats because I enjoy my home; and little by little, they become its visible soul.”
Jean Cocteau

Now, imagine, if you would, having your soul ripped from your body.

Not very pleasant - assuredly. Perhaps a little hyperbolic. But to those of us who love our furry friends, the statement doesn't hit too far off the mark.

If you're not as passionate about our furry friends as me - that's fine! Though I might hold it against you (my tabby cat, that is, as he purrs contentedly), I won't be to upset. It's your right as an American to hold a variety of opinions, both those I agree and those I disagree with.

Not Snookums, but a fellow striped Tabby.

What isn't fine, however, is unethical treatment of animals, and unethical behavior in public office infringing on our constitutional rights. To bring harm (allegedly or otherwise), to a feline or individual, by violating their sanctity as beings for personal gain, is a slight I cannot, under any circumstances, deem as "fine".

As such, I've created this website to bring awareness of alleged abuses of power by veterinarian Dr. Lock Boyce of Patrick County, and help inform people - prospective patients, and citizens themselves - of Dr. Boyce's practices and behaviors in a professional environment and beyond.

If I at least helped you make a more informed decision about the safety of your frisky feline, I've done my job. And, hopefully, we can do ours, as citizens, cat-lovers, and proud Americans, in simply saying "no thanks" to outside influencers who would view our beloved county as a source of political spectacle, or a vein of power and influence to be mined by opportunists whose best interests start and end with "me" and "I".
